Composer, pianist and producer, Curto’s work spans contemporary classical music, film and television. His screen credits include Netflix’s Élite and The Mess You Leave Behind, RTVE’s Ana Tramel, El Juego, Zero, Halcón ciego and the documentary Searching for Nika. His music for film has involved collaborations with ensembles including the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in Prague, the Reykjavík Orchestra in Iceland and the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra in Los Angeles. He has received two nominations at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards and is a Yamaha Artist.
As a pianist, Curto has performed internationally, while his work increasingly extends beyond the concert and screen into collaborations across film, movement and visual art.
Curto studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he was mentored by legendary pianist and composer Joanne Brackeen, and later completed a Master’s degree at Berklee Valencia. His work continues to explore the piano as a point of departure for music that is intimate and expansive, acoustic and electronic, and increasingly in dialogue with other art forms.
